
Crispy puris + tangy filling + Chatpata Pani with Boondi = chatpata delight! 😍
🫓 For Puri (or use readymade ones):
Ingredients:
1/2 cup suji (semolina/rava)
1 tbsp maida (optional)
A pinch of salt
Warm water to knead
Oil for deep frying
Method:
1. Mix suji, maida, and salt. Knead into a stiff dough with warm water.
2. Rest for 20 minutes, then roll into small puris.
3. Deep fry on medium flame until golden & puffed.
4. Let them cool & crisp up.
🥗 For Masala Stuffing:
Ingredients:
2 boiled potatoes (mashed)
1/2 cup boiled chana (optional)
Chaat masala, salt, red chili powder
Finely chopped onions & coriander
Mix all together for the tangy filling!
💚 For Spicy Pani:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup mint leaves
1/2 cup coriander leaves
1-inch ginger
1 green chili
1 tsp roasted jeera powder
1 tsp chaat masala
Salt to taste
1 tbsp tamarind pulp
3-4 cups cold water
2-3 tbsp soaked salted boondi
Method:
1. Grind mint, coriander, chili, ginger, and tamarind with little water.
2. Strain the paste and mix with cold water.
3. Add chaat masala, jeera powder & salt. Adjust spice as needed.
4. Mix well and add soaked boondi just before serving.
🛎️ To Serve:
1. Crack puri at the top.
2. Add 1 tsp potato stuffing.
3. Dip in spicy pani or pour over.
4. Eat immediately for that burst of flavour 🤤
